The Eight of Cups

The Eight of Cups or the Lord of Indolence card indicates the stagnating energy of the subject due to indolence whose baneful influence has stopped the flow of energy or its renewal.

The Eight signifies repletion, a certain laziness and immobility, and perhaps, unjustified dissatisfaction with past achievements. In some cases it indicates a new path in life, mainly you realize that you have been devoting time and energy to some one or a certain situation that was not worth it.

The card may be picked up by a person who is tired, exhausted and incapable of generating any energy. It may have occurred due to illness or failure in business, heart-break in love affair, litigation, marital discord, mortgage problems and so on.

The card gives an urgent warning about the causes that are blocking the energy. It urges the subject to open up channels to reactivate its flow.
