Tarot is a system of divination that uses a deck of cards which are like common playing cards. A tarot deck contains 78 cards bearing pictures or symbols. The seeker is asked to shuffle the deck and select a card.

When the tarot reader concentrates on the card, he goes into a kind of trance. He reads messages from the picture and the symbols on the card. These messages are about the nature and personality of the client seeker. They also help the tarot reader to divine the future of the client.

Even if the pictures do not send the reader into trance, they evoke certain meaningful responses and visions that have deep bearing on the present and future life of the questioner.
